Ymateb gan Unigolyn | Evidence from Individual

What are your views on the general principles of the Bill and the need for legislation to deliver the Welsh Government’s stated policy objective (to make the Senedd a more effective legislature by ensuring it is broadly representative of the gender make-up of the population)?

absolutely disgusting!

the welsh parliament have squandered money on vanity projects to the detriment of our country. our health service is chronically underfunded, our roads are a disgrace. councils are having budgets cut and the people i. power want to spend money on new senedd members waiting millions of pounds, you should be ashamed.

What are your views on the system of enforcement and potential sanctions for non-compliance proposed in the Bill?

irrelevant, this should not even be a priority.

Are there any potential barriers to the implementation of the Bill’s provisions? If so, what are they, and are they adequately taken into account in the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum and Regulatory Impact Assessment?

the main barrier the the astronomical cost of this bill, the money earmarked for this should go directly to the nhs and this absurd bill should be stopped right now

Are any unintended consequences likely to arise from the Bill?

the nhs in wales will fail. councils will fail. labour will have a stranglehold on the parliament and drive wales further into the ground. this bill should not be allowed

What are your views on the Welsh Government’s assessment of the financial and other impacts of the Bill?

the financial aspect is greatly underestimated, much like the new 20mph speed limits. it is money wasted on a project the is not needed or wanted. we do not accept this bill

What are your views on the balance between the information contained on the face of the Bill and what is left to subordinate legislation? Are the powers for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate legislation appropriate?

the requirement for women to be included to at least half the proposed candidates is just stupid. you want people who can do their job regardless of gender. this will lead to an even greater amount of people in the senedd who are incompetent at their jobs. we need more people who genuinely want to make wales a better place and not someone elected because they are the right sex

Do you have any views on matters relating to the legislative competence of the Senedd including compatibility with the European Convention on Human Rights?

the new bill is not compatible with the european court of human rights. it is stripping our right to freely choose candidates that are right for the job by insisting on a gender based nomination.welsh people have already been taken advantage of and ignored by this government.

Do you have any views on matters related to the quality of the legislation, or to the constitutional or other implications of the Bill?

this new bill is just another power play by welsh labour to remain i. power by stripping the electorate of their rights to a fair election. no good can ever come of this as it is effectively dissolving our right to democratic representation.

Are there any other issues that you would like to raise about the Bill and the accompanying Explanatory Memorandum or any related matters?

Anything else?
